Workout plan: WEEK 1

I was never someone that was overweight, I'm 5'2 and weigh between 115-120 lbs. Most people would look at me and say, "You're fine."  But let me tell you, I don't see it. Being short puts me at a disadvantage so whenever I gain a little bit of weight, I will look a lot tubbier than reality. When I see pictures of myself I think of someone who can do so much better. My goal is to return my waistline to 25". I hope to achieve this in one month in time for my boyfriend's Christmas party and wow the crowd.

Below is my workout schedule for the week in which I will update as regularly as possible. Some of the workout plans have clickable links so you can try them out as well. My weight is not my concerned as it doesn't actually reflect the way I look. Here is a picture of my waistline now, I will provide weekly measurement updates:

Let's take a look at Meat

My approach to achieving a better body comes from diet and exercise. Sounds quite familiar doesn't it? Well that's because it's true. Have you heard of the expression "You are what you eat" ? So if you eat lots of hamburgers, you will eventually look like one too.

I currently study and work in the health industry and many of the ideologies that we practice and preach have so many contradictions that make it incredibly difficult for the body to restore balance. For example, individuals who are diabetic are often given medication to control blood sugar levels. Although they are given guides on what to eat and what to avoid, diabetes management is still difficult. I find there is actually a lack of dialogue on food choices to enhance the body's production of insulin. After all, the body is designed to heal itself, so it should have all the tools it needs to maintain balance.
